Following the recommendations concerning pulmonary rehabilitation by parents of children with cystic fibrosis

Introduction. When performed according to the most recent standards, rehabilitation and nebulization enable prevention of progression cystic fibrosis. Aim. The aim study was assess parents’ knowledge concerning disease, education pro-health attitudes, taking care pulmonary equipment, following recommendations on how perform inhalations correctly. Materials methods. Seventy-four parents with at least one child affected by fibrosis participated in a survey, where we applied our own questionnaire. Results. A majority claim possess about disease be familiar specialist terminology; however, control question does not confirm that. Only 50% respondents take advantage positive influence physical effort respiratory function, whereas children assume incorrect positions during nebulization, merely half maintain equipment right way. Conclusions. Parents still need further their children’s condition, principles rehabilitation, hygiene, ways properly maintaining as well dosing suitable amount activity daily basis.
